My husband has been working really hard building a pond with a waterfall, bridge and stream. Last night, a thunderstorm came through with 60 mph winds and blew branches all over our yard. He can't get his Blazer out of the garage until we get a chainsaw out. The electric garage door opener for my Pontiac Aztec got caught half way up when the power went out. I couldn't reach the emergency power cord so it stayed up until Wayne got home. Fortunately, nothing blew into the garage. On his way home from work, he saw a power line down with 15 foot flames. Two of the service stations coming into our neighborhood were still without power when we went through at midnight last night. I felt bad for anyone coming off the I-35 to get gas last night. The first two stations were without power.
Some telephone poles near us snapped in half.
